Behind each of their prepared dishes is an incredible amount of work and attention to detail, to the products and to their region.

Do you know Mähdesüss, Kletzen or Waldgaisbart? No? You can experience and taste them in the restaurant at the Forelle directly located at the famous Lake Weissensee. Hannes Müller, owner of the hotel of the same name and chef of the restaurant, loves to grow, harvest and process all the ingredients himself. Elder flowers are used to make oil, rhubarb syrup is produced and the barks of willows are processed to condiments. However, all wild herbs and plants that cannot be harvested, collected and boiled down, fermented or frozen in-house by the kitchen staff, are purchased from local producers. Thus, here, at the highest bathing lake in the Alps, extraordinary and vitamin-rich gourmet creations are designed under the guiding principle of Berg.See.Küche, completely in harmony with nature. And if you want to dive even deeper into this Carinthian world of pleasure, you can participate in the cooking workshops and seasonal herb walks of the house.

If you are a guest of Kristian Knölke at the HUBERTUS Mountain Refugio Allgäu, you will return home with much more than a special taste experience in your luggage. The chef of the gourmet restaurant in Balderschwang conveys with every detail of his culinary art that food is much more than pure pleasure. Knölke and his team live holistic food, soul food and balanced nutrition. For Hari, head chef at the luxury resort Gili Lankanfushi, quality always comes first. The conscious selection of food for him is the recipe to high-quality and healthy top cuisine and an expression of sustainable living. Many of the products used at Gili Lankanfushi come from the hotel’s own organic garden.
